Glen T. Daigger

Biography

Glen T. Daigger Actively engaged in the water profession through major projects, and as author or co-author of more than 200 technical papers, five books, and several technical manuals, he contributes to significantly advancing practice within the water profession. Deeply involved in professional activities, he has served on the Boards of the Water Research Foundation (TWRF), the Water Environment Research Foundation (WERF), Water Environment Federation (WEF), American Academy of Environmental Engineers and Scientists (AAEES), the Water Tower Institute (WTI) and the Environmental Engineering and Science Foundation (EESF). He was previously Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at CH2M HILL (now Jacobs), a major international engineering firm, where he was employed for 35 years.  He also served as Professor and Chair of Environmental Systems Engineering at Clemson University. He is the recipient of numerous awards, including the Gordon Maskew Fair and Pohland Medals, Kappe, Freese, Feng, and Richard Lectures and the Harrison Prescott Eddy, Morgan, and the Gascoigne Awards.

He is Registered Professional Engineer in Indiana, and Board Certified Environmental Engineer, American Academy of Environmental Engineers.

He is widely recognized international expert with broad experience in water and wastewater management, and has more than 40 years practical experience with over 150 US and international water resource recovery facilities ranging in size from less than 1 to over 400 mgd. He is widely published author with signature publications such as Biological Wastewater Treatment, 3rd Edition (with C.P.L. Grady, Jr., N.G. Love, and C.D.M Filipe) and Manual on the Causes and Cures of Activated Sludge Bulking, Foaming, and Other Solids Separation Problems, 3rd Edition (with D. Jenkins and M.G. Richards). He is the holder of eleven patents. He is also Strategic Advisor to major international organizations, such as the Asian Development Bank and the Singapore PUB.
